How Many Times?

On my various information:

The newly human have a prospect of graduating from earth within 1000 incarnations. But it averages 100,000, where all but a fraction do little but swell the number. Moreover, on the fastest and slowest paths alike, most of the progress is made in the last 10 lives.

No well-spoken person you are ever likely to meet has been here less than 50,000 times, yet Krishna — who later took the body only Jesus could prepare for the role as Christ — may not have so many as 2000 lives behind him.

How should God allow the suffering of earth to multiply a hundredfold?Because we unwittingly insist on exercising the right to proceed that way.

This is compensated for by supposing you only live once, or if granting in a Western vein that reincarnation is neat idea, maybe five of six times.

The latter optimism naively works backwards from a sense of how far-reaching the attainment of one’s final life would be. It will indeed, but concluding that it needs relatively little preparation is invalid.

Liability to this error can be reduced if you consider that most of the final advance is due to enlightened willpower.

Such recognition, however, fosters excessive zeal, so remember fanaticism tops the list of all that is spiritually counterproductive…together with self-righteous apathy.

Indeed, their prominence on earth, only noted for groups besides our own, may seriously help one fathom the hundredfold waste of painful time.

Were anyone to discover the whole truth, they would sadly find it offends all parties.
